A Local's Summer Saturday in Shawnee: Two Markets, One Playbook

A Local's Summer Saturday in Shawnee: Two Markets, One Playbook

Ask three neighbors where the Shawnee farmers' market is and you will get three different answers, all correct. There are two markets running on the same Saturday mornings this summer, on opposite sides of town, and which one you drift toward tends to decide how the rest of your day unfolds. That is the small local truth this post is built on. Not a list of things to do, but a rhythm, anchored to which end of Shawnee you start your morning.

The downtown market at 6 W MacArthur pulls the Main Street crowd. The newer market at OneSixty on N Bryan pulls people who live north of the loop and want to be home before lunch. Same city, same Saturday, two very different mornings.

The Two-Market Choice

Both markets run through the warm months of 2026, and both are free to walk. What they are not is interchangeable.
